After purchasing new construction in Foxhall, this young family brought on Emma Thayer Interiors to transform the blank slate into a home brimming with personality and charm.  Inspired by the clients' Indian heritage and love of travel, the design incorporates subtle accents of red and brass alongside layers of bold pattern and color.  Custom built-ins bring both function and character, while contrast trim and vibrant wallpapers add a playful yet refined touch.  Dramatic and artistic lighting adds depth and impact to every room, emphasizing the soaring ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows that help the house feel grand.  The result is a curated blend of tradition, whimsy, and modern sophistication creating a space that’s both polished and welcoming.
