capitol hill rowhouse

Emma Thayer Interiors brought this DC native’s tired rowhouse back to life with fresh colors, clean lines, and black accents. To modernize the space without removing the character, we painted the intricate crown molding and traditional wainscoting to match the walls and ceiling. Aviation memorabilia incorporated throughout serves as a nod to the young bachelor’s defense background. In the kitchen, slate floors and hunter green cabinets offer a contemporary twist on a traditional English cottage.
